My overall impression
Let’s face it, Hollywood rocks because it has the best of both mediums: theatre AND film. Tucked into the back “club” of Three Clubs on Vine is the WMMFest, a mini-festival featuring original short films and filmed sketches by filmmaking collective We Make Movies. The filmed sketches are uniformly hilarious and clever. The short films each have a strong impact, whether comedic, dramatic, or fantastical. Performances throughout are excellent. High quality filmwork and post-production elements highlight what was a very enjoyable selection of short stories. I look forward to catching their next selection on Friday night.
