The Cracker Jack
Written & Performed by Mike Rad
Directed By David Robinson
This is a one person show full of rich, funny, true stories about my Great Uncle Jimmy, focusing on his life as a tug boat captain for the NY Central post WWII. The show deals with what life was like working on the Hudson and East River during the 1940’s and 1950’s.
These inspiring stories will be performed in the vein of the movie “On The Waterfront” and the stage version of “A Bronx Tale.”
It’s a true story of history, of family, of discovery and what it all meant to me.
The show includes music and vintage slides from the time period.
Running time: 50 minutes
