About the Project
“First World Problems” is an absurd and dark comedy about an alternate universe in which all problems, including death, have become obsolete and suicide has become exceedingly trendy. What happens when a young man decides he wants to be different in a society where suicide is all the rage? He chooses to live! This is a one Act one hour play about one man’s struggle to come to terms with his desire to find meaning. Only by finding and solving people’s problems does he achieve fulfillment and purpose. But in a world that’s too good to be true, he stoops to creating some of his own problems to solve.
