I attended the opening performance to support my daughter in her role as Anima and came away thoroughly entertained and moved. There were a few technical glitches in this first performance but they were not enough to detract from the strong connection the actors establish with the audience. I was personally moved from laughter to tears during several scenes. The performances by Alfred and his Muse(Anima)were complex, deep and impressive. As I mentioned, the anguish portrayed as Alfred sank into his own private hell was emotionally rich and moving for me. The comedic balance to Alfred’s pain was well done, but not over done. All in all a thoroughly satisfying romp along that thin line between genius and insanity. I recommend you take the ride without hesitation.
