Janet Miller is a very gifted visionary. She crowds the future and interprets established standards like Fantastics. She surrounds herself with talent onstage and in her gifted production team. Great vision, great execution, lovely theatre. Her delicate touch let's lovers be gentle and clowns rollick. And rollick the clowns do! It's delightful theatre with encyclopedic application of theatricality! Funny, touching.....timeless.

So HAPPY to see Good People back at the Fringe Festival! Their production of The Fantasticks is a breath of fresh air. Director Janet Miller is talented and smart - with a knack for bringing out the best in her actors as she brings out the best of herself. Rich vocal performances, charming choreography, gifted comedians, and poignant moments make The Fantasticks a real treat. No heavy messages, shock-value lyrics or staging - just theatre at it's purest and most entertaining. She has a solid prouction team (including Musical Director Corey Hirsch) working behind the scenes (especially noteworthy given the constraints of the theatre itself.) And if the show wasn't magical enough, the addition of a live harp was that typical Miller touch to co...

As a young theatrical advocate, it is best to put right out of the gate that The Fantasticks was truly an enjoyable experience all around for me. Not only was the cast strong all-around, but the production team's talent was extremely evident as well. This show, which I have been longing to see for a few years now, has greatly fascinated me, and the members of Good People Theater Company exceeded my expectations. This is because it is a simple story that is kept simple, yet all-the-while intriguing. The Fantasticks tells the story of a boy and a girl, whose parents pose a feud of epic proportion with one another (and whose real intentions are to have their respective son and daughter married to one another). The "Original Fringe Musical" crea...

Thanks so much to Good People for re-mounting the the original fringe musical! So great to see the game and talented ensemble find the magic in Schmidt/Jones' eternal tale of the lightness and darkness of life, with the traditional harp/piano instrumentation. A real treat!...

I have seen many productions of, The Fantasticks, and this one was one of the best. Full of sweetness, comic charm, and well crafted poignancy, this "Good People's" offering was everything this lovely show should be, and allowed the audience to be swept up in the romantic haze--and the clear eyed reality, this show so beautifully embraces. Each actor was perfectly cast, and the musical direction--(and the harp!),was spot on--and wonderfully playful. Every aspect of this production was excellent, and I applaud the director for creating such an enchanting piece of theatre. Well done....

It's unusual and highly complimentary for a show to be "held-over", so what can you say about a show that had a 42 year run?......Simple, sincere and timeless, re-visiting this "old acquaintance" is a joy, however many times you may have seen it before. ...

While I admit some of the voices are poor AND poorly projected, there are sterling performances from the supporting cast. Musical Theater aficionados better avoid this one, but those who have never seen it before will get the musical's charms and wistfulness, even if they won't hear the greatest renditions of the songs (and the harp is an extra added bonus)....

Wonderful reproduction of the original, that plucks the heart strings. The cast is uneven, but the directing is sure. Janet Miller, the actors that play the fathers and the older player, and the musicians deserve huge applause. This is a lot of fun....
