Thoroughly enjoyable show. Songs were memorable and fun. I loved the 50s sci/fi technobabble dialogue, all the cold war references, and the costumes, especially Zombina. These Zombies are not the flesh eating type from Walking Dead or George Romero movies, these are the 50s mindless slave zombies under control of ZOMBINA an alien who intends to destroy Milwaukee. Zombina is portrayed by Allison England who has incredible vocal range, reminiscent of Diamanada Galas or Yma Sumac. Actually, all the singing was excellent, but England really, really shined! A very fun show from beginning to end, I recommend highly.... full review

Zombies From the Beyond, the 1950's sci-fi spoof directed by Dan Spurgeon, is so hilarious that I already saw it twice! I enjoyed the meticulous details- lighting, great choreography, live music, creative set, realistic make-up, fifties and zombie costumes, even the sculptural wigs. The actors/singers/dancers are extremely talented. Enthusiastic Lara Fisher (secretary, Charlie) has a great stage presence, a great singing voice as well as wonderful-to-watch facial expressions and impeccable comedic timing. Alex Taber's atomic feet are just that. Zombina's (Alison England) acting and voice are superb. Rick (Eric Sand) is a terrific singer and dancer. Major Malone (Frank Blocker), Mary (Ameilia Gotham), and Trenton (Daniel Jimenez) are also te... full review

The Visceral Company takes on musical theatre and rides it all the way to success in a chipper interplanetary musical even non-musical theatre folks will love! Forget any idea of skipping it because it is a hilariously fun send-up of the 1950s and sci-fi B-movies directed by Dan Spurgeon and choreographed by Anna Safar with spot-on cheeseball precision, featuring a cast that knows how to play the comedy without ruining it. Plus, it’s the only place you’ll find Zombina, an “intergalactic strumpet on the prowl” and her chorus of dancing Zombettes, searching for earth men to repopulate their planet. Picture a shapely Wagnerian operatic powerhouse who looks like a cross between the 1940s glam version of Eve Arden (she could use that wig as a ... full review
