My overall impression
There is something so profound sitting in a theater with strangers and being open to the unexpected which is why I love theater the most. Because it is a collective experience. Mama Does Dada heightened this for me brilliantly – I loved how, we the audience were even more connected through this artist’s brave exploration of the absurd. Even though I didn’t understand everything, I didn’t need to – Jerilyn’s integrity to the work and her absolute commitment was EVERYTHING for me. I will remember her artistry in this wonderfully absurd piece forever.
