RAGE, RAGE – anti-bourgeois revolution – poetry – dance – BRUTALIST soundscapes – marionette theater – LOVE and HATE combine to protest and promote the entropy of the universe. Join absurdist historian Madeline Magnifico, known as MaMa (portrayed by Jerilyn Paige), for art history in the making.
Witness an evening of experimental, improvisational, absurdist theater in the style of the Zurich Dada movement of the 1920’s. This near-forgotten and long-neglected art form is the perfect pairing with today’s disaffection, pent-up rage, protest energy, and existential angst. MaMa revives the chaos and beauty of Dada to enrage and soothe your soul. Featuring original work by MaMa, as well as works by and based on Tristan Tzara, Hugo Ball, Richard Huelsenbeck, and Marcel Janco.
DUE TO THEAVANT-GARDEANDEXPERIMENTALNATURE OF THETHEPERFORMANCE, audience members will be required to complete and submit a participation WAIVER to be admitted to the theater.
