This show was so enjoyable! It’s big, bold, energetic, and over the top in the best of ways. The actors fully understand and embrace the sometimes goofy tone and it’s refreshing to see a show that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’ve seen a few versions of this show and this is by far my favorite! If you’re familiar with the story, the actors managed to capture all the nuance of these characters and expand them in ways I don’t think even the writer could’ve imagined! They give it a slightly raunchy edge and brought nuance even within the tone of a broad comedy. And underneath the humor, the actors delivered the emotional depth needed to create a flushed out and well rounded characters and story.
What I didn't like
No fault to this production (as I know Laundry & Bourbon is a one act play) but I wish it were longer!
My overall impression
The cast was spectacular!! The performances and chemistry were spot on and each brought new life, ideas and originality to the familiar characters.
