The performances were lovely and the story feels honest.
What I didn't like
I struggle to think of any “improvements” per se, but as a fan of improvisational theatre, I would be interested to see a version of this play with even more opportunities for the actors to improvise and inject the performance with more spontaneity.
My overall impression
Authentic, funny, and full of heart, The Huddle is a dense hour of theater. The characters are multi-dimensional and the dialogue is poetic while still feeling natural. The artistic choices feel inspired and the ending is highly satisfying.
