I really enjoyed it, especially having a connection to this. My sister’s now deceased father-in-law was Captain Stewart’s bombadier on all his flying missions. Got to reintroduce them before Mr Nelsons death in 1990. Mr Stewart knew him instantly on sight and a tearful reunion happened. We all met him and what a lovely man. Perfectly embodied in this play,
What I didn't like
bring it back!
My overall impression
It was a lovely one-man show covering Stewart’s homecoming from service in Europe during WWII to his role in the Christmas classic It’s A Wonderful Life. Brian Rohan embodied Stewart"s nervous charm and mannerisms well, shaking hands and verbal tics included. It made me tear up numerous times.
