What I liked

Brian was totally believable as Jimmy Stewart. I like the way he wove the story of his pre- and post-service and the speaking to Henry Fonda, an old friend, who would understand what he was feeling.

What I didn't like

The piece had noting that I didn’t like. There was a technical problem that was annoying. There was some sort of ground loop buzz that happened when the PA was on and certain lights were turned on the same time.

My overall impression

The show captured Jimmy Stewart post-service trying to find out where he fit in the world after having served in combat. Soul searching and trying to find out if he still had what it took—or even wanted—to get back into Hollywood life.

He speaks from the heart about family, his acting and what it was like to be a part of a group of soldiers, with longing and sometimes confusion with his friend Henry Fonda.

Brian Rohan brings Jimmy Stewart alive with an amazing performance. He shares the inner conflict he has about being gone from Hollywood, and where he will fit back in. You believe every word. He plays the man, honors his craft, and is not doing an impersonation. Heartfelt and wonderful.

Aided by audio and video elements, he brings the story to life with a script he penned, which makes it all the more impressive.

We fully enjoyed the performance and highly recommend you see “Jimmy Stewart on the Front of Life.”
