Throw a stone in any direction and you have a good chance of hitting someone who has or had a podcast. This makes the premise of the show easily relatable. I loved how what seemed like a story of two people simply trying to carve a name for themselves in the art form gradually turned into a story of intrigue. I find with a lot of musical comedies, the script may be funny and the songs may be good, but the songs often break up the comedy. In this case, the laughs are very much present throughout. The script is fantastic the two performers are excellent together. Marcelina slipping in and out of her “podcast voice” never failed to get a laugh out of me.
What I didn't like
I can’t think of anything that was missing from this show or it’s performers. Well done all around.
My overall impression
This musical comedy had everything I’d want from a musical or a comedy. The laughs were nonstop and I hope to get access to the soundtrack one day!
