Even though the show was shorter than most, it packed in as much drama, laughter, rage, epiphanies, and other surprises as many shows twice as long (This version was 30 minutes). The show delivered on its promise of confessions, some of which were some difficult and complex, about her impending motherhood. I found so much relatable in the show even though our lives are quite different.
I also liked hearing about the logistics of being a stripper—I love learning about people’s jobs, and hers is an especially fascinating one. Megan’s acute self-awareness, beauty as an 8-months pregnant woman, indisputable talent as a storyteller, actor, and dancer make me grateful that I made it to this show which was perilously close to my bedtime… and her due-date. Brava! I would watch Megan in anything!
What I didn't like
Can’t think of any improvements. It was just right. 100% charming, funny, and illuminating.
My overall impression
Megan is a magnetic performer you just want to spend time with, no matter what she’s talking about, but she packs unexpected hilarity, insights, and depth into this brief show about the contradictions inherent in being a feminist stripper who’s expecting, but not quite getting what she expected.
