What I liked
I really loved the songs. Their music is very catchy with hilarious lyrics projected on the walls. I was especially fond of the song, “ Library Card”. I also loved their backup girls who had some truly funny moments.
And I was impressed with the full blown character of Ricki. The actor playing Ricki, Lace Stonestreet stayed in hilarious character through everything including some technical issues.
What I didn't like
Just give us more of the same, please!
My overall impression
As a theatre veteran having done 9 shows on Broadway, I found Ricki Lantana to be a breath of fresh air with their unapologetic mockery of all things seemingly taboo. It seemed that with that thick European accent, everything they said was funny.
