What I liked

The building, the theatre and the FOH team.

What I didn't like

The overall awareness that performance is meant to be experienced by others and that therefore it should serve their imagination beyond your own false perception that anything goes and that no dramaturgical structures should be in place to help the spectator make meaning out of your work

My overall impression

I have been making professional theatre for 32 years. I have taught theatre in several schools. I love theatre. And I have watched my fair share of shows that did not really work or that were on the way to. Bad shows too. This is by far the worst show I have watched in a very long time. And this is not because of any stylistic or genre or artistic shortcoming. This was a scam. So, so unprofessional and so full of itself. Was announced as an hour long show for 23 dollars. It lasted 9 minutes. The performer did not even know how to end it he just said “oh yeah that’s it”. Then went on to acknowledge that everything was sort of kind of put together at the last minute. 9 minutes of him rambling about how life hurts without any serious understanding that people paid to watch this. Seriously problematic to charge people to watch this awful monument to lack of professionalism and just general sense of decency.
