The show was smartly written and very funny, Jeff Koons was a fantastic villain, and the prop work and sound design were outstanding. Claremonde was especially effective between the puppetry, “voice,” actual voice, and use of scale, but there were lovely details throughout that elevated the entire production.
What I didn't like
The only place the energy slightly flagged for me was in the clay sequence—it was charming and developed the themes well, but the dance sequence made it a little long. (Also I’m sorry this is so pedantic but the stem on Spoonbridge follows the curvature of the spoon so the water sprays back towards the handle!)
My overall impression
Enormous Things was unique, funny, and heartfelt. I’m so glad I had a chance to see it, and I’d happily see it again.
