What makes the show work in my opinion is Levin’s warmth and authenticity. She invites the audience into a very specific chapter of her life, yet the themes of anxiety, uncertainty, identity, and life-changing decisions feel universal and can relate to anyone mother or father. Her performance is energetic and personable, making even the most intimate moments relatable.
What I didn't like
To be honest, I loved it and felt it had a nice flow.
My overall impression
Sperm Assassination at the Hollywood Fringe Festival’s Bad Ladder is an engaging and deeply personal solo show that blends sharp comedy with genuine emotional insight. Written and performed by Pam Levin, the production explores the pressures, fears, and unexpected realities surrounding motherhood with laugh-out-loud humor!
