Often, one-person shows are focused on loosely tied moments, many of which are unimportant. Pam takes each scene and makes it relevant to the overarching theme of motherhood, or the effort to actively avoid it. Some really poignant moments that truly feel genuine, particularly the movie theatre scenes.
What I didn't like
I really loved the Spy/James Bond theme. I would love to see it more integrated more throughout the piece. I mean, there’s a fully produced intro!
My overall impression
A one-person show that addresses the struggles of motherhood, particularly the question of when and whether someone should become a mother. A funny but sentimental dive into Pam’s journey that will resonate with many people. Also, with kids comes all of the bodily fluids!
