What I liked
The drag king persona that Ruby has created continues to take new life with every iteration. I’ve been lucky enough to see several Ramón shows over the years, but I think this one is the most fully realized it’s ever been. It’s an hour of celebration amongst a world gone mad, a sort of joyful catharsis to counteract life’s tribulations. As playful as this show is, there are also moments where reality can’t help but show the toll it takes on Ramón, on Ruby, on all of us, and I left feeling that we are all truly in this together.

Idea: field trip to go throw Molotov cocktails at a data center
My overall impression
It feels like we need Ramón’s brand of unrelenting enthusiasm more than ever, and in my opinion this show is Ramón at his finest
