What I liked
I liked the weaving of the personal story with the backdrop of what was going on in our politics and world.
The staging and positions that the performer took helped the audience anchor in the characters in place, even with the most basic backdrop
It made me laugh
What I didn't like
The artist could use their eyes more directly to engage with the audience.
The timing on pieces was good and appreciated how the artist handled needing a moment to remember what to do. Next practice and multiple performances will probably will make that less.
My overall impression
Super engaging story the touches on family tension, and transition all with a sense of warmth and humor and a touch of musical! 🎵
