I couldn't recomment this show more. It is beautifully written and paced, with startling and poignant moments in his relationship to his mother and an extended family over decades. The entire narrative takes us on a journey that visits old loves and brothers like Nathan, the birth of a son, and a cigarette-smoking mother, who growls in a low voice. Prepare to be surprised!...

From the moment Noadiah took the stage I was captivated. This show was a beautiful love story of discovery and what it means to be human. The characters are well developed and at times I felt they were all on stage at once, in this one man show. This show is for everyone that has been in a family, a relationship and transitioned into who they were meant to be. This show is real and raw! ...

This is a Joyful show about Heavy topics! Noadiah really pulls off a feat here - the courage, the skill, the power - of talking about things that hurt like family schisms, gender violence, racism, intolerance and yet he makes it fun. At the end I wondered: how did I laugh so much about things that grieve me? Do yourself a favor and come see this show - get a hit of HOPE!...

A Man Called Mommy delivered a poignant and humorous message about family, faith and radical love through the lens of a white queer trans man, his Black children and his conservative Trump supporting mother. The one man show confronts identity politics, prejudice and ignorance with witty and clever portrayals of loved ones - mom, siblings, children and himself as they grapple with what it means to really embody and embrace the teachings of Jesus-love everyone. ...

Noadiah gave a beautiful performance and his story is funny, topical and heart-wrenching. His charisma and charm had me hooked from the start. After the show, my friends and I felt compelled to share our own stories because Noadiah's story inspires sympathy and forgiveness. I highly recommend Jesus, Trump and the Little Mermaid Walk into a Bar....
