My overall impression
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went to see Johnny Cannizzaro’s show, but I could’t have been more pleased with what transpired in the next hour and a half. He can do it all. Writing, acting, accents, piano playing, and even a little bit of magic, although the whole show was magic. The show had emotional depth, humor, and compelling storytelling drawing the audience into his world. What ulitmately make this production memorable it it’s emotional resonance. It succeeds not only as entertainment but also as a work the invites reflection long after the audience leave the theatre. Everyone involved showcases the power of live theatre at it’s best. I hightly recommend this show for anyone seeking an evening of engaging, moving and expertly crafted performances.
