This was a wonderful night at the theater. I was so impressed with the insightfulness that never stooped to naval gazing. Johnny was funny, vulnerable, and inclusive. He took us on the journey of his thought process as he shaped a show that challenged and informed his audience. He was charming and masterful as he navigated the vagaries of the creative process and relationships, and introduced us to characters that allowed us to see them in different ways than to his persona alone. I’m no theatre critic, did you guess? But he drew me into his world and the world of his imagination and it was a trip I thoroughly enjoyed taking.
What I didn't like
I missed some of the dialogue during the piano accompaniment section. Although I enjoyed the naturalness of the performance, I could’ve used a little more sound reinforcement.
