There was nothing that needs improvement other than scheduling more performances.
My overall impression
Wow, wow, wow!!! As a solo artist myself, I attend solo shows with great hope mixed with trepidation. I am also a writing coach. The writing and acting by Christine Dunford was so crisp, stellar, funny, and tragic at the same time. I am so sorry that it was scheduled for only 3 performances. I would have sent or taken everyone I could think of to see Burn Scar.
I am also a wildfire survivor in Altadena. My life was also rocked by the January 7-8 2025 Southern California wildfires. I attended Burn Scar out of curiosity and for possible inspiration to write my own solo show. I was definitely inspired and will be writing it soon.
