If this show is fictional, it was meticulously and masterfully made.

My overall impression
The author’s description of the show includes the words “unsettling” and “disturbing”. These are accurate descriptions. The Hollywood Fringe hasn’t even officially opened yet, but I’m pretty certain this show will be the one that will have affected me the most.
The show is entirely from the perspective of an stalker and you very much end up in the mind of a stalker.
At the end, the audience looked around at each other and asked each other, “was that a real story?” None of us knew the answer to that question.
If it was fictional (which I hope it was), it is a brilliant piece. And, if so, I’m sure the ambiguity is intentional, and this would be the best instance of an unreliable narrator in live theater I’ve ever seen.
I’m not a big proponent of content warnings, but for this show I’ll make an exception: if you have had personal experience with a stalker you should think carefully about whether to attend this show.
