What I liked

Each pair of shoes told us something about Kathy. When she returned to certain pairs more than once, it helped to ground us in time and place, so that I never felt confused about what part of the story we were in.

What I didn't like

I think this would just get better with more performing. There were some little hiccups along the way, but I think they would be smoothed out with a longer run.

My overall impression

This is such a fantastic concept! Telling a life story through the different shoes she’s worn was a great idea. I found myself looking at the many and varied shoes on stage and wondering what each one stood for. Kathy let us in to such deeply personal parts of her life while wearing some fabulous shoes.
