What I liked
I liked the simplicity of it. For many people, the ability to comprehend gender in a non-binary perspective can be overwhelming and scary, but when expressed through the metaphor of fruit, it really simplifies it… and really, how can anyone be scared of fruit?
What I didn't like
No notes. But I do think this would make a great children’s book.
My overall impression
Such a fresh & fruity way to discuss gender identity, expression & sexuality in a simple way, sprinkled with humor & heart. Ari was delightful to watch & how they told their story through different characters as fruit was fun.
