This show built a whole world in the best way theater does, and Ari’s banana man judiciously abided by the rules within it! I loved banana man’s silly pronunciation, vocabulary, and insistence on the non existence of other fruits. It was such a delicious allegory!
What I didn't like
I think it should be performed in every school in America!
My overall impression
A sweet, sincere, and subversive show. A carefully crafted allegory with so many layers that kept peeling in surprising ways! A cautionary tale of binary fruitism so lovingly told by Ari, the performer beneath the banana.
