Onye!
Hunter humanized drug use in a drug positive/neutral way that felt nonjudgmental and at times comedically self deprecating.
His perspective was deeply personal and led to creative and informative intellectual movement throughout his worldview. He also made sure not to preach; just inform and embrace his audience’s ideals.
What I didn't like
Tech didn’t add too much. I liked to moments when visuals added more commentary, and would love to see this form lean more into that.
Through lines were a bit muddled, and could’ve been utilized as punchlines and callbacks for comedy.
My overall impression
Onye was a great opener, quick and clever to set the tone. Hunter offered a comedic story about divorced parents who met in AA/NA, religion, and art as it relates to his complex relationship to drug use.
