This play is based on current events, and it was very insightful to hear the different characters’ perspectives of what’s happening today. I loved the intimacy of the stage. I liked the way props were minimal, and were adjusted in between vignettes. I also liked that not all of the floor was swept, showing the connection between all of the characters.
What I didn't like
I didn’t understand that the woman in the hospital was the mother of the woman from Texas. The couple from Texas only talked about the woman’s sister.
My overall impression
I was immediately brought into the story. It was raw and heartfelt, and I was along for the ride. It was an emotional roller coaster with humor, poignancy, and superior acting. Everyone stayed in character, even when they weren’t in the scene.
