What I liked

The actors were the main aspect of this play. They were tying everything together and they did an amazing job. The comedy was definitely my favorite part. My favorite character was the maid, she was a breath of fresh air in any and all scenes she was in. The “straight-man” is my favorite.

What I didn't like

All of my thoughts on what could be improved boils down to “bigger production value” I believe that it was really well done with the constraints that they had to deal with. It was done well, but it still felt a little like a high school production. Not that that is a bad thing, but I do wish for more from professional theater productions. I would have liked to see at the very least, better costumes. It looked like they were all going to the renfaire. Which works, but I am a bit of a stickler and if the costumes arent enjoyable, its going to take me out of it. I enjoyed the script and the acting so much that I wish the visuals had amplified that more.

My overall impression

Going into the play, I hadn’t known what it was going to be about. I have read Macbeth and know a lot about that play, so I thought it would have something to do with that, but I didn’t read a synopsis or anything before hand. Even when I was handed the program, I barely glanced at it so as to not give anything away. I think this way of going into the play blind definitely made me appreciate it more. It was fun to see what aspects from the scottish play they kept, and what they changed.
