The writing, and the style of storytelling! I loved the way the story built organically, slowly revealing more and more about Brooke’s relationship with her family and her daughter. The pacing was masterful and the performance was so natural and personal. The way the ending wrapped back up to the beginning was amazing!

My overall impression
A fascinating journey of self reflection, where the writer/performer digs deep to find out why they are having such a hard time letting their daughter take up the family tradition of playing tennis. There are themes of intergenerational trauma, and how to break that cycle.
