I loved the set, the costumes, the Chorus, Hamlet’s dad in general, the care that the characters show for one another… Everything was great!

My overall impression
This show is modern in its values, but steeped in questions humanity has struggled with for millennia: how can I feel accepted for who I am? What makes for good leadership? What should be the dividing line between a public and private life? What are acceptable sacrifices for the good of a kingdom, a people, a country? Why can’t my parents just love me?
This show is angsty, as all Hamlet stories should be, but it provides a little sunbeam of hope, too.
