Refreshingly devoid of the self-indulgence and personal hardships that plague many one-person shows, this production delivers a gripping, narrative-driven theatrical experience. The lead actor inhabits a fully realized character with a level of skill that few performers could match. What initially sounds like a standard premise about an actor’s life quickly subverts expectations, building beautifully into a darkly funny, unpredictable ride with genuinely shocking moments that keep the audience captivated. It is an absolute standout show that deserved a massive audience.

My overall impression
Dark, funny, captivating and unpredictable. It was one of the best shows at this year’s Fringe and should have received much more attention.
