A struggling actor gets an unexpected email that could be the big break he has been waiting for. From that simple idea, writer Derek Brooks turns The Circle into something that grows stranger and more unsettling with every moment. Produced by Rogue Machine Theatre, it is one of my favorite shows at Fringe, thanks in large part to Krosby João Roza’s fearless and mesmerizing performance...

The Circle is a very impressive piece of theatre that feels like the current evolutionary peak of solo shows that center an unreliable potentially unstable narrator. Krosby's Greg is both sympathetic and unsettling, and the story he tells is timely, haunting, and devastating. ...

If you live in LA & know anybody involved in the film/tv/acting industries - you must see this impeccably honest play!! Like many things in this smoke & mirrors town, you’ll spend the majority of it trying to decipher what is real and what is not. Prepare to fall in love with Greg, understand his pain & then want to send him to a mental institution - a 1 hour rollercoaster impossible to escape thanks to Brooks’ brilliant writing. Sit up close, let Greg look you in the eye, and get the chills you deserve running down your spine. I can’t wait to see Brooks’ next play!! ...
