I loved how personally this story was told. Although the themes were clear and the structure was tidy, there was no sense of preachiness or theoretical spoon feeding or form over substance. Just a beautiful flow of lived experience. Each of the actors was impeccably compelling and grounded.
What I didn't like
Honestly, no notes.
My overall impression
This play is a gorgeous love letter to being a creative lifer. The way we change our relationship to what success means to us in our calling, the way we soften to include other priorities and how unimaginable that can be when we’re starting out but what a tender piece of the ultimate tapestry that becomes. Told through the container of several generations, opinions and compromises and joys echoing through the years. Just beautiful.
