Daring piece of theater. The playwright asks all the questions that we (those who seek our joy, our kicks, and our living pursuing dreams) try to avoid. It really is so easy to not do the thing you love! And so easy to forget why you love it. And you haven’t had some kind of great success yet, what does that say about you? About whether you should do it or not? And as you age and accrue responsibilities and baggage and perspective and people to which you are accountable besides yourself, you really have to ask yourself these things with a deeper kind of probing. Here is a play that does that for us, in the way only theatrical drama can. ...

I am still thinking about this show a week after seeing the preview. The beauty, joy, struggle, and tragedy of being an artist is all captured by Rocco's script, great direction, and grounded performances. I highly recommend this show....

The kind of show at Hollywood Fringe that stands out. Easily transferrable to a theatre run. Nuanced and subtle, Danny nails the genre. ...

This play is a gorgeous love letter to being a creative lifer. The way we change our relationship to what success means to us in our calling, the way we soften to include other priorities and how unimaginable that can be when we're starting out but what a tender piece of the ultimate tapestry that becomes. Told through the container of several generations, opinions and compromises and joys echoing through the years. Just beautiful. ...

This was an emotionally honest, "fly on the wall" play about the real yet subtle microaggressions from our own parents, that can subconsciously form our own limitations in life. Very relatable, and a refreshing take. ...

Captivating! The play was a mix of drama, humor, warmth, and real human moments. The dialogue felt so real, it was like eavesdropping on these people's lives. I loved that the themes were personal, but also universal: family, relationships, balancing dreams with practicality, and figuring out what really matters. It was so good. I'll be thinking about this show for a long time....

With a rarely matched level of purity and effectiveness, this play served one of the fundamental purposes of art for me, which is to communicate something I'm always saying in my head and to others with whom I'm close enough, but almost never hear outside of that. Would not be out of place at one of the major venues in NY for totally new plays....
