What I liked

The opening song from Cabaret captured the audience with her beautiful voice. She proceeded to tell her life story through the lens of body image and her love for the theater. The pacing of the play was terrific with a balance of music and storytelling. The story was told with vulnerability and the actress moved from tears to singing seamlessly. It was a polished performance.

What I didn't like

The piano accompaniment was well done. He could’ve done it the whole performance. It wasn’t necessary to have the actress play piano and sing. She shines when she’s inhabiting the song with her voice and body.

My overall impression

The Dysmorphic Diva gave all the feels! Her singing was incredible and her storytelling brought laughter, relatability, and pathos. This was fabulous show by a talented writer, singer, and actress.
