Laura as Liv was genuinely it. She made you laugh and then immediately feel bad for laughing, which is a skill most actors never figure out. The story goes from psych ward drama to… the patients eating the doctor… and somehow it works completely. You just have to trust the process. And the ending? I gasped. So did the woman next to me. We made eye contact. We didn’t speak. We didn’t need to. It was everythinggg.
What I didn't like
Definitely keep an open mind and open heart when watching the play, all the actors worked really hard with what they had. Make sure to bring snacks since there is no intermission, other than that, I’ll definitely keep an eye out for the next show!
My overall impression
I walked in not knowing what to expect and walked out a changed person. “Women Who Eat It” is genuinely hilarious, and tells a good theme about eating disoders. Laura carried this entire show on her back and made it look easy. Go see it before she’s too famous to know you.
