What I liked

The writing is a sharp, cutting, and hilarious, with a very clear voice while creating distinct voices for each character. The performances were fantastic, with just the right amount of absurdity and camp to elevate the themes and make the writing sing. The direction and use or props, set, lighting and sound were fantastic! Every inch of the space and element within it was used and served to tell the story.

What I didn't like

My only wish is that in future iterations (of which I hope there are many) we could get to the turn these women take together a little faster. The show really flies after that, and that’s when I really got swept away.

My overall impression

The show is fun as fuck! Lord of the Flies meets Girl, Interrupted. An ambitious, funny, and at times absurd show that doesn’t talk down to its audience. The themes of revolution against the patriarchy and the expectations set on women which cause them to contort themselves to measure up, and being punished for not following rules they were never a part of creating are apparent. There are more existential (and absurd) questions posed like, “When does a person stop being a person and become meat?” (paraphrased)
