I was truly blown away by the quality, energy, depth, and vision of this work. I came in expecting a snappy comedy and left having witnessed a profound meditation on womanhood, religion, togetherness, and the sea. In no way, however, does Women Who Eat skimp on its fundamentals. The dialogue is electric, the blocking is smooth, the set is inviting, the characters are multifaceted and three-dimensional while still remaining relatable and funny. Each of the actors is a powerful on-stage presence, and the sterling quality of the script allows them total license to explore their characters as people....

This hilarious ensemble kept me guessing the ENTIRE play. At no point in time did I know what to expect next and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I laughed and gasped during the play, and left pondering the show's themes of morality, female empowerment, and power-dynamics. ...

Such a committed group of actors that aren’t afraid to make you squirm! Being front row for moments was super exciting- you could see how certain actors were so dropped into the story that I felt caught in it at moments myself! Maybe cause I was very close to those beanbags…...

Really impressed with Devin's work - performance, writing, direction. I loved this show. A great "girls nite in" kinda vibe, with gore - and a different type of mental health issue than we normally see in entertainment. It was camp and took itself seriously when it needed to, and just fucking played the rest of the time. It seemed like all the actors had fun with this piece. ...

Women who eat was a thrilling delight. From the very beginning I was enthralled with the characters, writing, production design, pacing, etc. I felt a deep connection to each of the girls - it was a definite ode to womanhood no matter your story. It definitely left an imprint on my mind as I contemplate the feminist themes and moralistic queries which were presented in an entertaining dark comedy. There was never a dull moment. This play was MEATY (pun intended). It covered many basis of what it feels like to be a girl in a patriarchal society and did so well. ...

Brilliant
From the first tense moments when relationships between residents are peeled back through darkly funny surprising twists and turns of the plots thru the cathartic ending (or was it?) it’s a fast paced crazy ride.
Playwrite, cast and crew did a spectacular job. Don’t miss it!...
