don't kill daisy
JOSHUA BENNETT certified reviewer June 10, 2026
SO FUCKING FUN! Soleil is a genius conceptualizer and an insane performer. As a lover of videogames (especially JRPGs) and anime tropes, Don’t Kill Daisy delivers on everything it promises and more. Full of physical comedy, great prop work, SO MUCH great audience work, irreverent writing, an insanely chaotic story structure held together by the ever-changing yet still somehow logical rules of this world-Don’t Kill Daisy is nonstop entertainment executed so simply and beautifully. This has been my favorite show at Fringe so far and will be telling everyone about it!... full review

GO SEE THIS SHOW! This show is a must see; It is pure chaos and an absolute riot. As an immersive theatre creator, I always am skeptical about immersive shows in a traditional proscenium space, but this is 100 percent immersive theatre. Would love to see it again with a different audience to see how the narrative differed from show to show! ... full review

I have never seen a show like this. Part RPG, part clown, part improv and absolutely bananas. With the sound cues, acting, and perfect embodiment of video game character body movements, I felt transported into a PC game from the early 2000s.... full review

I love how interactive it was, and how pop culture (anime/video game/etc) it was. Soleil is really good an improv and doesn't seem afraid of just going for it, playing the fool, and putting themselves into any (embarrassing or not) situation.... full review

It felt like Soleil was balancing like 50 plates while deftly accommodating the ceaseless demands of an audience bent on throwing them off kilter to no avail. Really fun, really playful. It's exciting to watch somebody retain control when there truly is soooo much chaos. ... full review

FIERCE - "Something characterized by intense forceful unrestrained energy and emotion." "Confident and Bold” "Feisty" What the performer creates with 100% participation from the audience is dynamic, creative, and engaging theater that tells the story in the moment, establishes an array of characters, creates a story narrative, and builds an emotional arc with a meaningful conclusion. Think: Pick Your Own Adventure "New Choice" "Use the props" "Yes and........" All wrapped up in the context of playing a video game! What we experienced was an amazing show performed by a talented artist who blazed the word "FIERCE" ... full review

This is a delightful show! Soleil does a fantastic job bringing Daisy to life... and death. She also does a great job of engaging the audience, indulging their desires just enough, but not too much. ... full review

What a joy watching and participating in your very own live game show created with the audience. Soleil is an excellent and generous performer. The concept of trying to guide Daisy through a video game world as an avid raver is SO much fun and I can’t wait to see where this show goes.... full review
