What I liked
This is an ensemble of diverse actors of color. The setting, acting, lighting design and the way the actors help move props as the scenes transition is amazing.
What I didn't like
I think when the intermission comes someone should announce “We Will Take A Brief Intermission”. Even if it was said at the beginning because this is a wonderful yet long play so the audience can forget. There was a guy who got up and left and never came back.
Arrive early because there is construction happening on the Los Angeles Community College campus and when you get to the theatre there are actually 2 theatres.
My overall impression
Whoa, I love a who-done-it psychological thriller and “Hummingbirds Are Not Machines” is exactly this!
This ensemble cast and the production team takes you through a lot of twists and turns that make you sit on the edge of your seat. You HAVE to check this play out!
