the fun the cast was having was infectious, and left far more of an impression on the audience than much of the script itself. the set dressing was a perfect blend of sparse and colorful to match the post apocalyptic setting, and contrasted well with the over-the-top costuming.
What I didn't like
the writing of individual sketches came out a bit disjointed and long in the tooth. future productions could benefit from editing the comedic portions to be punchier with quicker dialogue and more exchanges between characters, rather than compiling individual moments.
My overall impression
wonderful with a lot of heart! In an age of pretension in theatre, this show focuses on camp and joy in a way that immediately got the audience on the side of the cast. chanting and clapping along became commonplace and i left far more heartened than I had expected going into it.
