What I liked
The costumes, set, actors – everything and everyone was a treat to look at and listen to. The drinks were served from a globe of the world, that’s the level of charming we’re talking about.
What I didn't like
While I really liked everyone in the cast, there were several sneers in the dialogue about old vs young… But three out of four of those particular actors seemed just about the same age. It meant those jokes didn’t land.
My overall impression
I’m a huge fan of foley artists, so this show was a delight on that basis alone! But there was so much more than that: drama on and off the air, cattiness and smooth talking and silly commercials, plot twists and enemies working together… It was lovely to both watch and listen to, which is vital for a performance of a radio show!
