What I liked
I loved the incredibly intelligent and witty writing with such brilliant rhymes, the whimsical fairytale-like set design, costumes, lighting, fantastic music and creative hand-made props! I also loved the used of shadow work behind a hand held scrim! I felt like I was back in that time watching a puppet show with LIVE characters! It was almost cartoonish, bawdy and I loved the breaking of the fourth wall to give the audience (although some folks were reluctant) a chance to participate!
What I didn't like
A BIGGER budget so Julie & Co. can take it to another level! It was FANTASTIC! :)
My overall impression
This was a HILARIOUSLY BRILLIANT take on several HILARIOUSLY portrayed historical figures! I was CACKLING nonstop and it was such a DELIGHT to attend this play!
