What I liked

The creator and star Julie Perkins, who played the queen, was very funny, and her facial expressions and physical comedy made me laugh out loud. She is a really good singer, and her songs were clever with great music. The show had references to the present day which added to the fun. The actor Alisha Westerman. playing Hildy. was a talented singer and guitarist. The actor Allen Warnock playing Joan of Arkansas and other roles was particularly funny, and all the actors were very good and obviously having a lot of fun.. The queen’s costume was particularly striking.

My overall impression

The show “Gilded Rage” was very funny and witty with rhyming, clowning, and silliness, and had something to say about the monarchy and repression of the hoi polloi.
