What I liked
Maddie has created a great interactive structure that guides the court case while leaving enough open-ended so the audience can play and make a unique show every time. Her audience sense is great, knowing how to foster a space where audience participants feel safe to be ridiculous, gross, and childish. Maddie is a master at putting us on the razor’s edge of “What the hell is happening?” and “Please give me more of it.”

Funny, weird, and smartly constructed, Doll Court is a delightfully sophomoric courtroom drama.
