This was such an imaginative story that infused Latino magical realism with timely lessons about how our environment keeps us all connected. The play did a beautiful job of challenging cultural norms like overcoming one’s fear of leaving their hometown to achieve success but never forgetting where they come from. It was funny, emotional, epic and family friendly. Will highly recommend.... full review

Loved this! It was such a fun ride and had a great message. What a unique way to teach your audience something about the environment as well as giving us a window to some cultural gems while making it so whimsical and entertaining. The acting was also very good, natural, and humorus. Pulling off an adventurous tale like this at Fringe is highly impressive and the kind of thing you hope to see at a theatre festival!... full review

SOMOS AIRE is an ambitious production with heartfelt intentions, and I recognize how difficult it is to develop and stage original work. However, in its current form, the piece feels underdeveloped and not yet ready for a major festival platform. If the intended audience is young children, the production may find a more receptive audience in children’s theater. For adult audiences, however, the storytelling struggled to connect. The plot contained significant gaps that made it difficult to follow, and the dialogue often felt amateurish and unclear, preventing the emotional stakes from landing effectively. Performance-wise, the standout was the actress portraying Inky, who brought commitment and authenticity to the role. A later appeara... full review
